About Us
Which came first? Folding or rolling?
It all began in an office in Leeds. Beate had cycled to work, reached into her bag to pull out her laptop and flung a pair of knickers across the room. Since then she’s been trying to make cycling to work a touch smoother and more stylish.
Who?
Beate Kubitz is a transport consultant, campaigner and designer. For the last ten years she has worked with start-ups, established companies and local authorities developing understanding and implementation of mobility innovations. These include better facilities for cycling, walking, digital journey planning and ticketing, mobility-as-a-service and on-demand buses.
The Fold+Rºll was invented to help make cycle commuting a better experience by organising a fresh change of clothes (or neatly rolling up items that aren’t in tip top form).
Fold+Rºll aims to be the most sustainably-made packing organiser for cycle commuters, travellers and people who do more than one thing in their day.
Beate has roots in the north of England and the east of Germany, and lives in a village in the French Pyrenees.
