The Compact Traveller
Actual packing is a many layered activity. Deciding what to take - and what to leave - means you have to think very hard about what you are doing, where you are going, the weather, the journey and the stops on the way.
It’s a plan - laid out in socks and t shirts or waterproofs and rainwear - for the days, weeks or months ahead. It means you lay out your best case scenarios and your contingencies in clothes, shoes and kit. Suddenly things become real as outfits are matched to days of the week, paired up and pared down. Rolled into Fold+Rºlls and compressed into packing cubes.
A compact bag means you can travel light, however you roll.

The history and mystery of colour naming
Color standards have been around for a couple of hundred years, but the 1912 reference work, Color Standards and Nomenclature by Robert Ridgway is a classic. It combines meticulous calculation of colour graduations with a practical and poetic naming strategy drawing on the natural world. It's a book I refer to in naming the new range of Fold+Rºlls but it has a wider place in understanding how we need to define and name the world around us in order to communicate with one another.

the end of the summer
Hanging on to summer until the last sunset slips over the mountain horizon on the very last weekend of August.... that's how we roll. Rather than contemplate September incoming, we went on a bike-packing micro-adventure with a Fold+Rºll.

Great for friends who love to be organised and those who need to be organised - for yoga, swimming, gym and running. Fold or Roll? The packing debate rolls* on…
Folding or rolling? The packing debate rolls on with pros and cons on both sides. From layering up a block of crisp creased items into a packing cube to rolling every piece into its own burrito, each method has its fans - and arguably - it’s place in the world..

When it’s a wash out!
Who doesn’t need a change of socks some time? Cycle commuting in the rain means wet clothes - but luckily the Fold+Rºll is there to keep your socks (t shirt, jumper and trousers) organised. It’s also fully washable and will keep gritty wet socks out of sight and out of mind.
